Foreword
Based on assessment of pollution load, action points have been identified in respect of some problem areas in the country. For monitoring their implementation, it is necessary to determine the source-specific status and trends.

This report deals with industry-wise pollution control status in Manali (Tamilnadu) and Digboi (Assam). It entails information on the pollution control facilities in various industrial units in these areas. A review of the follow-up measures to be taken in regard to the action points has also been presented in the report.
