CONCLUDING REMARKSControlling
odour is an important consideration for protecting the environment and our community
amenity. Since there are neither indicative compounds within odour plumes nor
electronic or other devices for measuring odour emissions, it is difficult to
develop meaningful regulatory threshold limits for odour. However, based on the
international experience on odour control, our country also needs to adopt effective
odour control policies.
