Foreword

For formulating rotional policies for pollution control, besides pre- paration of basin and sub-basin inwntories, the Central Board in collaborotion with the State Pollution Control Boards started genera- ting water quality data through the monitoring of \Orious water resources. For management of data uniformly, certain gui are desirable to be ewlved. The present manual is a step towards the rationalisation of water quality data processing, analysing and interpretation. It is hoped that the manual will be useful to State Pollution Control Boards a 00 other users in generating uniform water quality data.
