State
of Punjab, Ludhiana District was taken up by the Punjab Pollution
Control Board as a part of the pilot phase in 1995 with the technical
support GB and GTZ. Although, the Atlas of this District was made
available for official use much earlier, owing to certain technical
problems, this could not be d for public use. Through constant R&D
efforts and with the support of GTZ, CPCB has now worked out GIS solutions

outputs of these efforts
We hope, this Atlas will help the industrial entrepreneurs and the
Government agencies in proper siting of industrial units. |
