Use Classification of Indian Coasts and Conflicts - Part -V
( Andhra Pradesh Coasts)

                                                Foreword
The first publication of the Central Board in the Coastal Pollution Control Board Series (Copcos/1/1982) contained maps showing the use of the east coasts, from Madras to Kanyakumari. In that report an approach to coastal pollution control based on the concept of use was outlined. The second publication of this series presented the use of maps for the west coast from goa to kanyakumari and contained recommendations for dealing with existing pollution due to wastewater discharge. The third and fourth reports of this series covered the West Bengal and Orissa, and the Maharashtra and Gujarat coasts respectively. The present report is fifth of this series and covers the coasts of Andhra Pradesh.

It is hoped that the information contained in this series will be useful as a basic reference material for planning and control of various development activities in the coastal regions..
