Foreword
The need for wastewater management and pollution control can hardly be over-emphasised in case of pesticides industry which entails a diverse raw material -product mix and complex nature of pollutants. For indepth understanding of the problems and possible options, particular emphasis has been laid by the Central Pollution Control Board.

The present document deals with various aspects of wastewater management in the pesticides industry. We hope, the industry will increasingly adopt measures for minimisation of wastewater and its proper treatment.
