Minimal National Standards for Liquid Effuent -Paint Industry

Industrial units manufacturing paint are only few i]1 the country but thousands of Small Scale units are scattered throughout the country. In absence of the industry-specific standards, difficulties are often faced by the regulatory agancies to prescribe relevant consent conditions and by industries/consultants in design and istallation of appropriate pollution control devices for the industry. In the present document Minimal National Standards (MINAS) for wastewaters, control measures for emissions and quidelinas for solid waste disposal for the paint industry are provided.

This document summarises the comprehensive report on Paint Industry prepared by M/s. Associated Industrial Consultants India FVf. LTD., Bombay in association with the Central and State Pollution Control Boards.

It is hoped that this document will be useful to the State Pollution Control Boards. industries, consultants and those who are interested in control of pollution.
